Touch announced in US show pick-ups.

Amidst its new series pick-ups, Deadline reports that Fox has renewed midseason mystery drama Touch for a second season. The news comes amongst relatively modest ratings for the debut series, which have fallen since it premiere earlier in the year.

The series by Tim Kring and produced by 20th TV and Chernin Entertainment focuses on Martin (Kiefer Sutherland) and his son Jake (David Mazouz), who has a special gift to communicate with numbers to predict events.

Fox’s sister studio 20th Century Fox has a long and strong relationship with Sutherland from his days on successful drama 24.

Touch airs on Fox in the US and Sky 1 In the UK.

Alcatraz will not be renewed for another season, instead Fox has renewed J.J. Abrams’ other drama series, Fringe..
