FOX has released two new promo trailers for the upcoming second season of Gotham, titled ‘Rise of The Villains’.
The teasers, see Ben McKenzie‘s James Gordon faced with the villains of Gotham rising up – including The Joker and The Riddler – and asking an amused Oswald Cobblepot/Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) for assistance. Meanwhile, in the Wayne mansion we pick up where season one ended, with the young Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) and his Butler Alfred (Sean Pertwee) discovering his father’s secret cave, which I’m sure will prove useful for young master Bruce as his Batman persona emerges.
Also reprising their roles in Gotham is Donal Logue, Erin Richards, Camren Bicondova, Zabryna Guevara, Cory Michael Smith, Victoria Cartagena, Andrew Stewart Jones and John Doman.
Newcomers joining the second season, will be Jessica Lucas and James Frain. Michael Chiklis joins as a series regular, playing Captain Nathaniel Barnes, and Natalie Alyn Lind will star as Silver St. Cloud, a new love interest for Bruce.
Gotham returns to FOX in the US on 21st September. Channel 5 is yet to announce when it will be airing the second season in the UK.
