Bones Key Art prepares for series end! 

Fox has released a first look Comic-Con poster signalling the twelfth and final season of forensic/detective drama, Bones. 

The key art shows stars Booth and Brennan (played by David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel) through the eye of a magnifying glass but with their eyes shown in skeletal form, with the tagline “Nearly Departed.”

The final 12-episode season may see the return of Eric Millegan as Zack, with executive producer Michael Peterson telling TVLine “I watched the show before I was ever writing on the show, and I think what Eric brought to that character was fantastic. I’ll make a promise to try really hard to make it happen.”

Fox co-chairmen Dana Walden and Gary Newman said fans will get a “meaningful and satisfying conclusion.” 

Bones final season will air in 2017. Sky Living airs the series in the UK.
