Comedy returns for more family trials and tribulations

BBC Two’s Scottish comedy Two Doors Down has been recommissioned for a second series, following its successful debut series.

Written by Gregor Sharp and Simon Carlyle, the six-part comedy stars Arabella Weir, Alex Norton, Elaine C Smith, Doon Mackichan, Sharon Rooney, Jonathan Watson, Jamie Quinn and Harki Bhambra as three sets of neighbours living on the suburban street of Latimer Crescent, and the trials and tribulations that come with living with people you’d often much rather do without.

Shane Allen says: “The first series has been so well received, and we’re proud to welcome this gem back again. It’s beautifully written with the cream of Scottish comedy talent on board, and audiences across the UK have taken it to their hearts.”

Two Doors Down is a BBC Comedy in-house production through BBC Scotland. Filming is set to begin in Scotland from mid-August for six weeks and will, once again, film on location in Glasgow and at BBC Scotland’s Dumbarton Studios.
