Home to Arrow, The Flash and Supergirl in the UK, Sky 1 adds a further superhero show to its roster with DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.

Based on the iconic DC Comics characters drawn from the same universe as The Flash and Arrow,  DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow sees time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill), having seen the future, must put together a group of both heroes and villains to take on the formidable, unstoppable threat of Vandal Savage – a threat that not only puts the planet but all of time itself at stake.

The series stars Victor Garber (The Flash, Alias) and Franz Drameh (Attack the Block), who combined make-up Firestorm. Brandon Routh (Arrow, Superman Returns) as The Atom, Caity Lotz (Arrow) as The White Canary, Ciara Renée (The Flash) as Hawkgirl, Dominic Purcell (The Flash, Prison Break) plays Heatwave and Wentworth Miller (The Flash, Prison Break) is Captain Cold.

Adam MacDonald, director of Sky 1, commented: “Hot on the heels of the amazing success of Supergirl, I’m really pleased to announce that another exciting comic-book drama is coming to the channel. From the team behind our three best-loved superhero shows and with a great high-profile cast, there’s real pedigree behind DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. And it’s set in the same world as The Flash and Arrow, too, so it couldn’t be more suited to Sky 1. Our customers are going to love it.”

DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow is produced by Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television, creators of Arrow, The Flash and Supergirl.

DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow is due to air in America on The CW channel in January 2016 and will air on Sky 1 in the UK.
