BBC Two has debuted a new trailer for six-part drama Wolf Hall, based on the novels by Hilary Mantel and written by Peter Straughan (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy).

Damian Lewis (Homeland) stars as Henry VIII opposite Mark Rylance as Thomas Cromwell. Claire Foy (The Promise) will play the calculating and ambitious Anne Boleyn.

Other casting includes Jonathan Pryce (Cranford), Joanne Whalley (The Borgias), Mark Gatiss (Sherlock), Anton Lesser (Endeavour), Mathieu Amalric (The Grand Budapest Hotel), Charity Wakefield (Sense & Sensibility), Jessica Raine (Call The Midwife), Bernard Hill (Five Days), Richard Dillane (The Dark Knight), Thomas Brodie-Sangster (Game Of Thrones), Natasha Little (Case Histories) and Saskia Reeves (Turks & Caicos).

Wolf Hall begins on 21st January at 9pm on BBC Two.
