Clone drama adds to third season cast

British actor James Frain has joined the third season cast of Canadian clone drama Orphan Black.

Best known for his roles in The White Queen, Intruders and The Tunnel, James will play Ferdinand, a well-educated “cleaner,” who is both charming and intimidating. Ferdinand is a power player in a secret political faction that operates under questionable ethics.

Created by John Fawcett and Graeme Manson, the BBC Three / BBC America cult series stars award-winning actor Tatiana MaslanyJordan Gavaris, Maria Doyle Kennedy, Evelyne Brochu and Dylan Bruce, and will return for ten new episodes in Spring 2015.

Other Orphan Black cast additions include:

Kyra Harper (Warehouse 13) – as Dr. Coady, “a ruthless doctor and advisor to the military,” a woman who is “outwardly the soul of reason, but her maternal, nurturing manner conceals an agenda that even her superiors do not suspect.”

Earl Pastko – as Bulldog, “Ferdinand’s silent, imposing and violent personal bodyguard. Communicating with his boss by looks only, Bulldog carries out the dirty work of his shady employers.”

Ksenia Solo (Lost Girl) – will play Shay, “a soulful and compassionate holistic healer with a great sense of humor destined to become a new friend to Cosima.”

Justin Chatwin (Shameless US) – will play the recurring role of Jason Kellerman, a ruggedly handsome and savvy drug dealer who is also a charismatic businessman.
