Jamie Bamber To Star In Sky’s Firefighting Drama

Former Law and Order:UK and Battlestar Galactica star, Jamie Bamber has landed the lead in Sky1 HD’s upcoming eight-part series, ‘The Smoke’.

Bamber, is set to play a firefighter in the drama from Kudos Film and Television, about the lives of a crew in a London fire station, according to Deadline.

Other cast include: David E. Kelly (Strike Back) as firefighter Rhashan Stone alongside Pippa Bennett-Warner and Taron Egerton.

The series is written by Lucy Kirkwood (Skins); Jane Featherstone (Spooks) is executive producing with Noelle Morris (The Hour) for Kudos. Anne Mensah is executive producer for Sky; Mike Barker (Silent Witness) is directing; Chris Fry (Mayday) is producer.

Production on ‘The Smoke’ commences shortly in London for transmission in early 2014.
