Waterloo Road gets a new teacher.
The Fades Daniela Nardini has joined the eighth series cast of BBC One’s award-winning drama Waterloo Road as the new science teacher.
Daniela also known for her role in This Life will play, Esther Fairclough, a passionate, driven but maverick science teacher who has an unconventional approach to inspiring her pupils. Daniela says: “Esther is mildly dangerous with the potential to get more so. She is passionate about her cause but unfortunately doesn’t know how to encourage and promote her views without getting carried away.”
Cameron Roach, Head of Drama for Shed Productions and Executive Producer, says: “We’re very excited to welcome Daniela to the ensemble of Waterloo Road. Daniela has earned a terrific reputation for playing memorable characters, and we’re looking forward to her breathing life into Esther.”
Waterloo Road is currently filming on location in Greenock, Scotland with Daniela’s episodes due to air in the third instalment of the 8th series (episodes 21-30) on BBC One in late 2013.
