Irish actress Séainín Brennan Joins BBC Two’s ‘The Fall’
Hidden actress Séainín Brennan has joined cast of BBC Two thriller ‘The Fall,’ starring Gillain Anderson as DSI Gibson and Once Upon A Time actor Jamie Dornan.
Currently filming on location in Belfast, the five-part pyschological drama is penned by Allan Cubitt (Murphy’s Law, Prime Suspect). Irish actress Brennan will play Liz Tyler, the target of a serial killer Paul Sector, played by Jamie Dornan, with Anderson’s character seconded from the London MET Police to hunt him down.
The cast also includes Hollyoaks actor Gerard McCarthy as a character called Kevin, however the nature of the role has been kept under wraps – but is described as a recurring role.
Séainín Brennan says: “I am thrilled and excited about taking on the role of Liz Tyler, it’s an emotionally-charged performance which takes the character, and the audience, on an emotional rollercoaster that will grip and enthrall lovers of quality drama.”
Adding: “Allan Cubitt is such a brilliant writer, so to be given the chance to play one of his characters is a career highlight for me. I have had the honour of working with some amazing actors at the top of their craft so it will be a huge honour working with Gillian, Jamie and the rest of the fantastic cast on The Fall.”
The Fall will air on BBC Two later this year.
