Channel 4 has announced it’s Christmas line-up, here are some festive delights:

Comedy & Entertainment

December 12 sees the return of The British Comedy Awards on Channel 4 hosted live by Jonathan Ross. Who will win this year’s title of King or Queen of Comedy?

If you like a bit of psychological mystery, on December 13, master illusionist and showman, Derren Brown plans to pull off the perfect crime in Derren Brown: The Great Art Robbery. He’s bet renowned art collector Ivan Massow, that he can steal a painting from right under his nose using members of society that tend to slip by unnoticed. He’s going to use old age pensioners.

There’s no doubt Christmas in E4’s Made In Chelsea Xmas special won’t be a quiet one. The socialites are dressed to impress and full of festive cheer. Don’t be surprised if not everyone comes bearing good tidings.

Jimmy Carr will presents special Christmas episodes of 8 Out of 10 Cats and the Big Fat Quiz Of The Year.  Meanwhile Alan Carr will book ending your C4 Christmas with Alan Carr: Chatty Man Xmas Special and Alan Carr’s New Year’s Eve Specstacular 2013.

More comedy offerings include, Man Down Xmas Special, as Dan’s (Greg Davies) faced with ‘Scrooge 3000’, a festive school play set in space, and a terrifying yuletide tradition, unsurprisingly courtesy of his psychotic dad (Rik Mayall), are just two of them.

The channel will also host the 50 Funniest Moments of the year and a whole nights celebration of The IT Crowd.

Making Liberty is a new three-part C4 series beginning on December 2, documenting behind the scenes at Liberty, one of London’s oldest department stores, as it gears up for Christmas; a crucial shopping season for retailers – and one that is make or break for Liberty.

December 19 sees the cameras return to follow the students and teachers of , Thornhill Community Academy, as we pay a visit to Educating Yorkshire at Christmas. They’re a year older and a whole range of things have changed for the students: trouble-makers have turned around their reputations; love is in the air; and new challenges are faced at school and college.

Adventurer Bear Grylls returns with another intense and exhilarating Wild Weekend, taking Stephen Fry on a once-in-a-lifetime expedition to one of the most spectacular mountain ranges in Europe, the Italian Dolomites.

Four part series, Guy Martin Speed follows Motorcycle racer and lorry mechanic Guy Martin, as he sets out to create four speed based challenges in which he will explore the boundaries of physics and learn about the science of speed. Whether it’s slip-streaming a racing driver to ride a bicycle at over 100mph using pedal power, or seeing if he can ride a motorbike across a lake.
