Crime-fighting clergymen returns
Currently starring in BBC One’s War & Peace, James Norton is about to become an even more familiar face on our tv screens in the coming months.
The versatile actor will next be seen in the second series of Happy Valley, beginning on February 9th (in which he reprises his role as the villainous Tommy Lee Royce). Plus, the second series of Grantchester is just around the corner and teased in a new ITV trailer for the 1950’s set drama, in which Norton plays charming clergyman Sidney Chambers – one half of unlikely crime-fighting duo with gruff, down-to-earth Police Inspector Geordie Keating (Robson Green).
In the second series set in 1954, murderers were still hanged. Sidney and Geordie have to face up to the consequences of becoming such an accomplished crime fighting duo. For Sidney, in particular, as the vicar in a small village this becomes increasingly difficult.
