‘Prison Break’ returning with an ‘international setting’
Fox has confirmed they have officially ordered a full series of Prison Break following the initial pilot script order.
Both Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell will be reprising their roles as brothers Michael Scofield and Lincoln Burrows, while Sarah Wayne Callies and Robert Knepper are said to be in talks about reprising their roles as Sara and T-Bag respectively.
Prison Break is set to begin filming a nine-episode season in late March, but will have to work around Miller and Purcell’s current filming commitments to The CW’s Legends of Tomorrow.
“The story unravels on an international landscape — it’s not a domestic [plot],” Fox co-chariman/CEO Dana Walden said. “We open on a very international contemporary-feeling story.”
Series creator Paul T. Scheuring will act as showrunner and executive producer alongside, Neal Moritz, Marty Adelstein and Dawn Olmstead.
