Whitechapel facing dark times.

Amazon Prime has released a new trailer for the fourth season of Ripper Street.

The trailer gives a first-look at two of the new Whitechapel residents, including Matthew Lewis as a new policeman at H-Division, and David Threlfall as the new series villain, Abel Croker.

Leads Matthew MacFadyen, Jerome Flynn and Adam Rotherberg will also return alongside MyAnna Buring as Long Susan, who is facing being hanged for her crimes.

Ripper Street returns to Amazon Prime on 15 January.
