Lincoln powers to main role

Fans of ABC’s Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., will be happy to learn Luke Mitchell has been promoted to a regular for the third season.

The Australian actor – who also starred in The CW’s The Tomorrow People and Australian soap Home and Away – will return as Lincoln, who debuted in season 2 as a member of the Inhuman tribe led by Agent Skye’s mother, Jiaying, Lincoln possesses the ability to generate and wield electricity.

Executive Producer/Head of Marvel Television Jeph Loeb, said: “Luke proved a valuable addition to our cast in Season 2, and after seeing him light up the screen with his charisma we knew we had to have him back for more. Our writers have come up with big plans for the character of Lincoln in our next season, and we can’t wait for fans to see everything we have in store.”

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., returns to ABC in the US in the autumn, and airs on Channel 4 in the UK.
