More dinners for the Goodman Family

Award-winning Channel 4 comedy Friday Night Dinner has been recommissioned for a fourth series.

Made by Big Talk Productions and Popper Pictures, the series stars Tamsin Greig, Paul Ritter, Simon Bird and Tom Rosenthal as the Goodman Family. Mark Heap will once again be arriving unannounced as Jim.

In the new series Jonny gets serious with a ‘female’, Adam injures Jonny after buttering the kitchen floor, Mum is forced to pretend that her mother has died, Dad invites a friend over who talks with his eyes closed, ‘Horrible Grandma’ returns for more horribleness, and a terrified Jim has to look after five dogs.

Friday Night Dinner is written and produced by Robert Popper (Peep Show, The Inbetweeners, Him & Her, The IT Crowd). Robert said, ‘I am verry hapy I am writin a new serries of Friday Niht Dinners for Chanel 4. I hop it wil be funy and that the peeples wil laurgh.’

Channel 4’s Deputy Head Of Comedy, Nerys Evans, added: “It’s always a joy to welcome back the wonderfully doolally world of Friday Night Dinner, and series 4 looks set to be a real corker.”
