The BBC has released new image (below) for Strange & Norrell – a seven-part, magical drama series for BBC One starring Bertie Carvel and Eddie Marsan.
The story, set in 19th-century England around the time of the Napoleonic Wars, follows Jonathan Strange (Carvel) and Mr Norrell (Marsan) who find they have the ability to practice magic in a time when England no longer believes in practical magic.
The series also stars, Alice Englert, Marc Warren, Samuel West, Charlotte Riley, Enzo Cilenti and Paul Kaye.
Strange and Norrell is based on Susanna Clarke‘s bestselling novel, Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell and adapted by Peter Harness (Wallander) for BBC One.
