A host of guest stars join Caribbean drama

Tyger Drew-Honey (Outnumbered), Amy Nuttall (Downton Abbey), Natalie Gumede (Strictly Come Dancing), Will Mellor (Broadchurch), Hetti Bywater (EastEnders), Rosie Cavaliero (Prey) and Simon Day (The Fast Show) are amongst guest stars announced for the fourth series of crime drama, Death In Paradise.

The new series, currently filming on the Caribbean island of Guadeloupe stars Kris Marshall as the clumsy but brilliant DI Humphrey Goodman, who is struggling to contain his growing feelings for DS Camille Bordey (Sara Martins) who in turn finds herself battling the dating scene all thanks to her well meaning mother.

Officer Dwayne Myers (Danny John-Jules) is striving to cope as he is left holding the fort following the departure of Sergeant Fidel Best (Gary Carr), who has left Saint Marie for a new job on a neighbouring island. However, Comm. Selwyn Patterson (Don Warrington) is keen to step up and exercise his investigative muscles once again, much to Dwayne’s frustration! The police department also welcomes new recruit, Sergeant Florence Cassell played by popular French actressJosephine Jobert (Sous Le Soleil de Saint-Tropez).

Also guest starring is, Leo Staar (Call The Midwife), Don Gilet(Holby City), Katarina Cas (The Wolf Of Wall Street), William Ash (The Last Witch), David Bamber (What Remains), Claire Goose (Mount Pleasant), Sharon D Clarke (The Shadow Line), Ali Bastian (Hollyoaks), Susannah Fielding (The Knot) and Amanda Root (The Iron Lady).

Commenting on his role in the series, Tyger Drew-Honey said: “I am delighted to be a part of such a successful and original show and I can’t wait to work with the fantastic cast and crew. Death in Paradise is very different from anything I’ve done before so it is the perfect choice as my first TV drama project since finishing Outnumbered. Filming on the sunny shores of Guadeloupe will certainly make a change from those leafy London suburbs that I’ve been used to!”

Death In Paradise is a Red Planet Pictures production in association with BBC Worldwide, and created by Robert Thorogood.

The new series will air on BBC One in early 2015.
