Channel 4 leads TV BAFTA nominations

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has announced the nominations for the 2014 Arqiva British Academy Television Awards.

Channel 4 lead the nominations with 27 nominations including Southcliffe and the IT Crowd which lead with four nominations each. The BBC lead the way with 18 drama nominations including The Fall and In The Flesh. Broadchurch and The Village both receive three nods including last year’s double-winning actress Olivia Colman. And Jerome Flynn picks up his first nomination for BBC One’s Ripper Street.

This winners of the BAFTA TV Awards will be announced at a ceremony held at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, London on Sunday 18 May.
