Acclaimed BBC One murder-mystery series, Shetland, returns for a new second series of three, two-part stories.

Starring Douglas Henshaw as DI Jimmy Perez, the first tale, old wounds are painfully reopened as Perez and his team look into a past crime to solve the present-day murder of 17-year-old Catherine Ross who is found murdered on a secluded beach.

Brian Cox (The Bourne Identity) will star as Magnus Bain, a solitary man and social outsider who finds himself the focus of a murder investigation. Julie Graham (Survivors) plays procurator fiscal Rhona Kelly – a new returning character who will make her mark in the first and third stories of the series.

Also starring in the series based on award-winning crime writer Ann Cleeves book ‘Raven Black,’ is: Steven Robertson, Alison O’Donnell, Mark Bonnar and Frances Gray.

Shetland Series 2 airs on Tuesday, 11th March at 9pm on BBC One.
