Comedy – drama adds host of British stars

Doctor Who actress Alex Kingston, Spooks star Peter Firth and Downton Abbey‘s Tom Cullen have all been added to the film cast of If You See Her.

The comedy – drama which stars Janet Montgomery (Spies of Warsaw) and Sara Paxton (The Innkeepers) follows two childhood friends, Heather (Montgomery) and Sarah Ann (Paxton), who are reunited after many years. Sarah Ann ropes Heather into being the videographer for her upcoming wedding.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Kingston will play Sarah Ann’s mother, a woman with secrets of her own. Cullen will play the former teacher both Sarah Ann and Heather find themselves attracted to. Firth plays Heather’s father, who falls in and is the reason for Heather’s return to her small hometown.

The film is produced by David Gordian for Paragraph Pictures and Alan Latham for Green Screen Productions. The director is Joan Carr – Wiggin.

This will be the second time Firth – who is also reprising his Spooks role for a film version as well as starring in a new ITV drama – has worked with Tom Cullen after both appeared in Ken Follett’s, World Without End in 2012. After Doctor Who Kingston is best known for her role in medical-drama ER.

If You See Her will be shot on location in Sault Ste. Marie, Canada.
