The BBC has commissioned a new 3-part drama, ‘From There To Here’, written by Peter Bowker – his first for BBC One since BAFTA Award-winning, Occupation.

Made by Kudos Film and Television the series is set In the aftermath of the Arndale bombing, a Manchester family man is torn between the life he wants and the life he could have.

This is a funny, characterful and moving drama about a man whose life is rocked to the core – a family saga which begins in Manchester in the summer of 1996, on the day when an IRA bomb exploded in the city centre. Against the feel-good backdrop of Euro 96, it maps the emotional shockwaves generated by that bomb in the lives of two parallel families from different sides of the tracks.

From There To Here is Executive produced by Derek Wax for Kudos and Stephen Wright for the BBC.

  1. I’ve read that Philip Glenister’s confirmed to be starring in this drama, I think it’ll be a great role for him. I think it sounds very interesting and can’t wait to watch it when it comes on tv.

  2. Read the book “Letterbox” by P.A.Davies … a brilliant fictional story based around the Manchester Bombing … Well worth a read!!
