‘Hustle’ writer Tony Jordan to bring ‘Dickens to life’ in new BBC One drama.

Hustle and Life On Mars writer, Tony Jordan is to pen a new multi-part drama for BBC One called, Dickensian.
Made by Red Planet Pictures, the series will be told over half-hour installments and will bring the world of Dickens to life in a drama populated by the vivid characters from his classic books, who will meet one other in the most surprising of ways.
Announcing the new dramas, outgoing Controller of BBC One, Danny Cohen says: “It has been a joy and privilege to commission programmes for BBC One. I hope audiences enjoy the range and creative ambitions of these new dramas for the channel.”
Dickensian is Executive produced by Tony Jordan for Red Planet Pictures and Polly Hill for the BBC.
