The BBC has released a new trailer for its ten-part drama series ‘The White Queen’, based on Philippa Gregory‘s best selling historical novel,

‘The White Queen’ charts the thrilling story of the women caught up in the ongoing conflict for the throne and stars: Max Irons, James Frain, Rebecca Ferguson, Janet McTeer, Amanda Hale, Faye Marsay and Aneurin Barnard.

Filmed on location in Bruges and Belgium and set during the War of the Roses, we follow the rich tale of love and loss, seduction and deception, betrayal and murder, vibrantly woven through the stories of three different yet equally driven women, in their quest for power as they manipulate behind the scenes of history – Elizabeth Woodville, Margaret Beaufort and Anne Neville.

The cast also includes: David Oakes, Juliet Aubrey, Eleanor Tomlinson (Isabel Neville), Frances Tomelty (Lady Beauchamp), Michael Maloney, Ben Lamb, Hugh Mitchell, Simon Ginty, Eve Ponsenby and Robert Pugh.

‘The White Queen’ airs on BBC One in the Summer.
