It’s been confirmed that Buffy and Dollhouse alumna Eliza Dushku has been cast as Patricia Holm, the main love interest for Adam Rayner in the latest version of The Saint. The show will follow the exploits of Simon Templar, a modern day Robin Hood who spends his time fighting injustice and annoying law enforcement, often the two occur simultaneously.

The role of Inspector Fernack, the Saint’s law enforcement nemesis, is still to be cast. The pilot starts shooting next week and whilst the show is currently without a network home on either side of the Atlantic, that is expected to change soon.

Executive producers on the show are Brad Krevoy, Jesse Alexander and Roman Viaris. Alexander has also written the script for the pilot episode which is to be directed by Simon West. Creative consultant on the show is er, me. (Ian Dickerson)
