Production begins on Being Human

With filming on the firth series of Being Human underway in Barry, Wales the show’s BBC blog has released some information of what’s in store for its return. Nothing spoilery but enough to get you excited for when the show returns to our screens.

The BBC Being Human blog says: “We’ve got bits that will make you laugh! We’ve got bits that will make you cry! We’ve got bits that will make you jump! We’ve got bits that will make you drool! We’ve got puns! We’ve got thrilling guest stars! We’ve got exciting new talent! We’ve got a new place of work! We’ve got really scary threats! We’ve got flashbacks! We’ve got exclamation marks!!! We’ve got it all!”

Adding: “Series Five scripts are brilliant (even if we do say so ourselves), the talent from cast and crew is HUGE. Expect big things.”

Damien Molony and Michael Socha will reprise their roles as Hal and Tom, while Kate Bracken will return as a full-time member of the cast as ghost Alex who’s the team describe as: “She’s funny, she’s kick-ass and my goodness is she cheek-boned.”

Writers include the return of Toby Whithouse, Jamie Mathieson and John Jackson and newcomers Daragh Carville and Sarah Dollard.

Phil John and Daniel O’Hara are back directing and there’s a new Producer in the shape of Polly Buckle, Meanwhile, Phil Trethowan has stepped up to Executive Producer.

Being Human returns to BBC Three with six new episodes in early 2013.
