Here’s a first look at Jonny Lee Miller in Elementary, the modern-day US re-working of Sherlock Holmes, courtesy of a new poster and behind-the-scenes trailer from the CBS Network.

The trailer includes interviews with the cast – including: Jonny Lee Miller, who plays the famous role of Sherlock Holmes, Lucy Liu – and director/executive producer Michael Cuesta.

A full series has already been commissioned, on the back of a the pilot episode that it yet to air.

Summary:

In a modern-day take on Sherlock Holmes, the iconic detective is taking on New York. Just out of rehab, he’s been assigned to live with his worst nightmare-sober coach, Dr. Joan Watson. Holmes’s unsurpassed skills of deduction and Watson’s medical expertise come together to create a dream team for solving the NYPD’s most impossible cases.

  1. It’s NOT A ‘SHERLOCK’ REMAKE. It’s a US made series that has nothing to do with ‘Sherlock’ which is the BBC series. It barely has anything to do with Sherlock Holmes. Do your research.

    1. The title should say ‘Sherlock Holmes’ not ‘Sherlock’ which will be amended. However it is a re-imagining of the original Sherlock Holmes stories, whether it bares a resemblance or not it is based on that principle.
