More Cast announced for Homeland Season 2
Homeland gains another new cast member in the shape of Valerie Cruz, who is set to appear as a guest star in a single episode that may lead to a recurring role.
Cruz is set to play Major Joy Mendez as a military intelligence officer who goes with Carrie (Claire Danes) on a sensitive mission in Beirut, Entertainment Weekly reports.
The actress is best known for her roles in True Blood and Dexter and more recently Syfy’s Alphas.
Lost actress Zuleikha Robinson and Tim Guinee (The Good Wife) will also join the season 2 cast, alongside leads Damian Lewis and Claire Danes. With Navid Negahban (Abu Nazir) and David Marciano (Virgil) set to return as regular cast members.
Homeland season 2 will air in the US September 30 on Showtime, and on Channel 4 in the UK at a later date to be confirmed.
