Actor Sam West has announced on his twitter page that ITV1’s Eternal Law has been axed after one series after ratings dropped to just 2.95m for its final episode after a promising start of 5.43m.
Sam West played Sam Gist is the drama said: “Alas there will be no more Eternal Law; not enough people watched it. A thousand thanks to those of you who did, and said such kind things.”
Adding: “I’ll miss Zak and the gang enormously, but I’m very proud of the work we did. And we’ll always have York. Onward! #EternalLaw”
Written by Matthew Graham and Ashley Pharaoh who also penned the production company Kudos’ previous hit Life On Mars and also starring Tobias Menzies, Orla Brady and Ukweli Roach, the show focused on two angels earthbound to help humans through the medium of law barristers.
