Emilia Fox & Dawn French go head to head in story of love, sex, lies & betrayal!
Sky 1 has announced further casting for its new four-part drama Delicious, starring Dawn French.
Delicious will see Dawn reunited with her Wrong Mans co-star Emilia Fox (The Tunnel: Sabotage), as two women who go head to head after being betrayed by the same man, played by Iain Glen (Game of Thrones).
Sheila Hancock (The Boy in the Striped Pajamas) will also feature in the comedy-drama.
Passionate cook Gina (French) was once married to Leo Vincent (Glen), a successful entrepreneur, chef and hotel owner in Cornwall. Leo owes much of his success to Gina’s exceptional cooking, but since leaving her for the glamorous Sam (Fox), his business has continued to thrive.
When Sam has suspicions that Leo is having an affair she confides in Gina, confident that she’ll recognise the signs. Only to later discover that it’s Gina herself who is the ‘other woman’. The secrets and scandals that spill out are proof that sleeping with another woman’s husband is never a good idea – even if he was your husband first. As Sam and Gina try to fix their broken families, will a friendship rise from the ashes of betrayal or will they tear each other apart?
Emilia Fox commented: “I’m absolutely delighted to be part of Sky’s new drama Delicious. As a starter it’s heaven to be working with Dawn French and Iain Glen again. For main course – an absolute treat to be working on such great scripts. For the perfect recipe – a brilliant crew, cast and production team. I can’t wait to tuck in!”
Iain Glen said: “The script for ‘Delicious’ was irresistible. Funny, poignant and unpredictable. I can’t wait to dig my teeth into this feast of a drama.”
Delicious is written by Dan Sefton (Mr Selfridge, Secret Diary of a Call Girl), produced by Bandit Television – part of the Endemol Shine Group, and directed by Clare Kilner (The Wedding Date).
