Rigsy actor set to stir things in for Denise.
Joivan Wade, who was recently seen playing Rigsy in Doctor Who, has joined the cast of BBC One’s EastEnders.
Joivan will be playing Lucas Johnson’s son Jordan Johnson – taking over the role from Michael-Joel David who played the character for two years, before leaving in 2010.
Jordan returns in the coming weeks following Denise’s search for her step-son after hearing reports about his bad behaviour. Denise (Diane Parish) doesn’t know what she’s letting herself in for as Jordan is set to turn Denise and her family’s lives upside down.
Jordan returns an angry and damaged young man. Denise can still see the good in her step-son but viewers will be left fearing that volatile Jordan takes very much after his father. As Denise makes inroads with Jordan, we will all fear that she’s putting herself, her family and the entire Square in danger.
Don Gilet will also be returning as Lucas this Spring. Viewers have already seen Denise recently make contact with her imprisoned serial killer ex-husband.
With both Lucas and Jordan back, Denise will be forced to face a very difficult and life changing new chapter in her life. Will she get out of it alive?
On playing the role Joivan says: “Coming into EastEnders is an absolute dream. Jordan is going through a very tough time and needs people in his corner but with a Dad like Lucas will he be able to trust anyone? It’s going to be brilliant to play him and I can’t wait to get started.”
