CBS extends first season
Supergirl is flying high as CBS grants the superhero series a further seven episodes to its first season.
The seven-episode pickup, brings the Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television show to a total of 20 episodes.
The series, which airs on Sky 1 in the UK, stars Melissa Benoist, Mehcad Brooks, Chyler Leigh, Jeremy Jordan, David Harewood and Calista Flockhart.
Based on characters from the DC Comics, the series focuses on Kara/Supergirl (Benoist) as she comes out from the shadows to protect National City from extraterrestrial menace and high-tech villains.
