Danish thriller focuses on economic crime
BBC Four is to air new Danish crime thriller, Follow The Money.
Set in the world of economic crime, Follow The Money stars Thomas Bo Larson, Natalie Madueño Wolfsberg, Esben Smed and Nikolaj Lie Kaas in a story of speculators, swindlers and corporate princes and the crimes they commit in the pursuit of wealth.
When a dead body is found in the sea near a wind farm off the coast of Denmark, Mads, the police detective assigned to the investigation, refuses to believe that it is just an accident. The deeper he digs, the more suspicious he becomes of quickly expanding energy company Energen and is drawn into a morass of financial and legal shady dealings…
Sue Deeks, BBC Head of Programme Acquisition, adds: “Follow The Money is a stylish, intelligent, thought-provoking and complex multi-stranded drama. Following on from The Killing, Borgen and 1864, we are delighted to have another superb series from DR on BBC Four.”
Follow The Money is made by DR and created by Borgen co-writer Jeppe Gjervig Gram.
