Post-apocalyptic drama returns

E4 has confirmed it will be airing the second season of post-apocalyptic drama The 100.

Set 97 years after a nuclear war wiped out most of humanity, the only survivor’s are residents on space station The Ark. With resources failing 100 juvenile prisoners are sent to Earth to see if it’s now habitable. When they get there they realise they are not alone…

The sci-fi drama stars Eliza Taylor, Bob Morley, Christopher Larkin, Thomas McDonnell, Marie Avgeropoulous, Devon Bostick, Paige Turco, Henry Ian Cusick and Ricky Whittle.

The first season, which aired in the Summer, garnered overnight ratings of 1.7 million, making it the channel’s highest series launch for a pilot episode.

The 100 will return to E4 for 16 episodes in early 2015.
