Kevin Spacey to return in third series of Netflix drama
Netflix has confirmed it has recommissioned a third series of Emmy award-winning drama, House Of Cards.
The series – the first original content for Netflix – stars Kevin Spacey as Democratic Senator Francis Underwood alongside his wife Claire, played by Robin Wright.
Kate Mara, Michael Kelly, Sakina Jaffrey and Constance Zimmer also star in the political drama.
The series was originally picked up with a two season order. The second 13-episode season is yet to air on the streaming service, which will premiere on Netflix on Friday, February 14.
Netflix‘s Ted Sarandos said back in October. “It was a 26-episode commitment. It was not our intent that it just run for two seasons.”
In November he also said: “I think if you look at the original House of Cards, there was a natural third season, and we could go well beyond that.”
Beau Willimon serves as showrunner, with David Fincher and Kevin Spacey executive producing.
