With anticipation for the third series of Sherlock high, the BBC has unveiled four new behind-the-scenes pictures.

The pictures show, Benedict Cumberbatch as the title character; Martin Freeman as John Watson and Mark Gatiss who stars as Mycroft and co-writes the series with Steven Moffat.

Titles for the three new feature-length episodes were revealed earlier in the year as: ‘The Empty Hearse’ written by Mark Gatiss, ‘The Sign of Three’ by Stephen Thompson and ‘His Last Vow’ by Doctor Who showrunner, Steven Moffat.

Sherlock series 3 will air on BBC One in the coming months, with the airdate yet to be officially announced.
