The BBC has released a new first-look picture of two-part romantic drama, 7.39 starring David Morrissey (The Walking Dead) and Sheridan Smith (Mrs Biggs).
The drama from Carnival Films, is described by writer David Nicholls (One Day, Starter For Ten) as, “a love story for grown-ups” – and follows the story of Carl Matthews (Morrissey) and Sally Thorn (Smith), who both fight for the same seat on the 7.39 train and begin talking. Suddenly their daily train journeys become a lot more interesting.
Also starring is Olivia Colman (Broadchurch) as Carl’s wife Maggie and Sean Maguire (Scott & Bailey) as Sally’s boyfriend Ryan.
