The drama weaves together the stories of four seemingly unconnected people facing life-changing decisions in a world where choices are a luxury and survival is never a given.
James plays Richard, a middle-aged ex-heroin addict struggling to stay clean so that he can re-establish contact with his teenage daughter Sabrina. As events conspire against him, Richard is torn between the world of drug addiction and the harder path to salvage the only relationship that matters to him.

Even worse, the news is delivered to her by Kasia (Katharina Schuttler), Tomek’s partner. Left alone to face the tangle of debts and chaos which Tomek has left in his wake, Kasia struggles to find the strength to survive. And perhaps to run.
Run is created and written by newcomers Marlon Smith and Daniel Fajemisin-Duncan, Directed by Bafta winner Charles Martin (Skins, Being Human) and first-time drama director Jonathan Pearson, and produced by Chris Carey (Dirk Gently, This Is Jinsy).
