The BBC have confirmed there will be no recommission of Waking The Dead spin-off “The Body Farm,” starring Tara FitzGerald and Keith Allen.
Confirming the news to the Radio Times the BBC said it “will not return for a second series,” that it had a peak audience of 6.3m but ended the series run on 4.3m.
The 6-part forensic crime drama aired in September 2011 and focused on Dr Eve Lockhart played by Tara Fitzgerald as a continuation of her Waking The Dead character who now works as the head of a private pathology facility alongside Keith Allen.
The Body Farm was made by BBC Drama Production in association with Waking The Dead star Trevor Eve’s company, Projector Productions.
