Kara gets new Catco boss
Supergirl Kara Danvers/Kara Zor El (Melissa Benoist) is getting a new boss in the form of Cougar Town alum Ian Gomez
Gomez is set to join the newly transferred CW show’s second season in the recurring role of Snapper Carr, the dry, all-knowing journalist appointed by Cat (Calista Flockhart) to serve as the editor-in-chief of CatCo Magazine.
EW reports, Snapper will make his first appearance in episode 2 of the new series, in which he is set to be both an adversary and mentor to the younger reporters (Kara included). His no-holds barred approach is set to push Kara in unexpected ways. Snapper believes in free press and journalistic integrity which he feels has been lost in the social media age.
Also joining the second season is Teen Wolfâs Tyler Hoechlin as Karaâs cousin Superman/Kal-El/Clark Kent, alongside former Wonder Woman star, Lynda Carter, who will play the U.S. President.
Supergirl second season premieres for the first time on The CW network on Monday, 10th October 2016. Sky 1 airs the series in the UK.
