Spies & lovers continue to entice audiences.
Showtime has ordered a sixth season of Homeland and a third season of The Affair – in advance of the final two episodes of the current series, which air in the UK on Channel 4 and Sky Atlantic respectively.
Homeland stars multi award-winning actress Claire Danes as former CIA agent Carrie Mathison; Emmy and Tony winner Mandy Patinkin as Carrie’s former CIA boss, Saul Berenson; and British actor Rupert Friend as CIA assassin, Quinn. The American political thriller is based on the original Israeli series Prisoners of War and developed by Howard Gordon and Alex Gansa.
The Affair, starring Brit actors Dominic West and Golden Globe winner Ruth Wilson, alongside Maura Tierney and Joshua Jackson, explores the emotional and psychological effects of an affair that destroyed two marriages, and the crime that brings these individuals back together. The series is created by Sarah Treem and Hagai Levi.
