Moffat reveals that without his Dad he may not have been the fan he is – as he didn’t watch for a while as a child because a cyberman trailer, and his phobia of shop dummies had scared him away. However encouragement from his Doctor Who loving father meant he came to love the thrill of getting through a terrifying episode, describing it as a “badge of honour.”
