“Harrison is like a little atomic bomb full of energy ready to explode and fill the room with her brilliant presence and a great rock voice. Her passion shines throughout.”
Tuesday saw us here at Inside Media Track take a trip down to London’s, The Alleycat, which sits just beneath the famous Regent Sound Studios for the single launch party for “Overexposed” the new single by upcoming Scottish singer-songwriter Harrison.
Read what our reporter Sarah Paterson thought of the single and event below…
Harrison’s debut single “Overexposure” contains lyrics that are deep and Soulful. It’s fiery, powerful and will have you tapping your feet, with the need to put it on repeat. The guitarists on this track show a powerful presence which compliments Harrison’s voice well. The video shows the true creativity of the thoughts and meanings behind the song. It is fresh and current.
I would say Harrison holds characteristics of Pink, Alanis Morrisette and The Darkness. The launch Party was very successful and left a lot of people wanting more… there was even an encore at the end!!
There were twice as many people there than expected and Harrison managed to engage with them all. There wasn’t a spare seat in the building and the dance floor was packed. Some of her other tracks were also performed, and they went down a storm. She’s a very talented performer and we look forward to seeing and hearing even more from this blonde bombshell.
I had the chance to speak to Harrison’s boyfriend, Ade Adepitan (Paralympics presenter and wheelchair basketball player). I asked him what he thought of the night, he said: “I really enjoyed the experience and felt there was good coverage and a number of people said to him they learnt a lot from the band. Nothing but good.”
On asking Harrison what she felt she said “I absolutely loved it.”
