The first official still  from the set of “Iron Man 3″ was released today, and it shows Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) with his seven his armored suits; an increase on the four he had in Iron Man 2, to include the new suits from the Avengers Assemble (UK title) movie.

The image shows lead Downey on the set of Stark’s workshop preparing to film scene 24F (according to the slate the camera assistant is holding) facing his collection of Iron Man suits.

Directed and co-written by Shane Black with Drew Pearce, the film also stars: Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Jon Favreau, Ben Kingsley, Guy Pearce, James Badge Dale and Ashley Hamilton.

Iron Man 3 is currently in production in North Carolina and is set for a May 3 2013 release.
