Former Doctor Who star David Tennant in Gracepoint

A new picture (above) of David Tennant and Anna Gunn has been released of Fox’s Broadchurch remake Gracepoint.

The picture from EW, is the first image with the new US cast and former Timelord David, who will not be reprising his role in series 2 of Broadchurch when it returns to ITV.

The 10-episode event series – which is a US remake of the critically acclaimed ITV series which starred Tennant and Olivia Colman in the lead roles – will see Tennant reprise his UK role, who in this version is called Emmett Carver.

Breaking Bad‘s Anna Gunn will play a reimaging of Colman’s part of Ellie Miller in the drama of an investigation into the murder of a young boy in the small town of Gracepoint.

Creator and writer of the UK drama, Chris Chibnall, is also penning the US series which also stars Nick Nolte, Jacki Weaver, Michael Peña, Kevin Rankin, Virginia Kull and Kevin Zegers.
