Sky has released a new extended trailer for Sky Atlantic/HBO/CANAL+ original co-production, The Young Pope ahead of its world premiere at the 73rd Venice Film Festival.

The ten-part series stars Jude Law as Lenny Belardo, aka Pius XIII, the first American Pope in history. In the trailer those around him have mixed views about the new young, unconventional and revolutionary Pope.

The cast also includes award-winning actress Diane Keaton, Silvio Orlando, Scott Shepherd, Cécile de France, Javier Cámara, Ludivine Sagnier, Toni Bertorelli and James Cromwell.

The series is directed by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Paolo Sorrentino and will be broadcast in the UK on Sky Atlantic from Thursday 27th October.
