Marvel and Netflix has officially confirmed there will be a third season of Daredevil.

The news was confirmed both during Marvel’s Luke Cage panel at Comic-Con on Thursday (which also discussed Daredevil), and via Daredevil‘s official twitter page which also released a short teaser.

Daredevil stars British actor Charlie Cox as defense attorney Matt Murdock by day and masked vigilante crimefighter Daredevil by night.

Cox did reveal that fans may have to wait a while for a third season, as production is delayed due to currently filming of The Defenders, which also stars the lead characters from other Marvel/Netflix series’  Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist. The Defenders also released a teaser clip at SDCC (below) which revealed the logo for the series which is set to premiere in 2017.

Iron Fist is also currently wrapping production, meanwhile Jessica Jones’ confirmed second season will not begin production until The Defenders is wrapped filming.

Daredevil character Frank Castle/The Punisher, played by Jon Bernthal who arrived in the second season has also landed a spin-off series – when though is yet to be confirmed.

Daredevil season 2 is now available to watch in full on Netflix.
