“I am ready for the great responsibility that lies before me”

A short teaser trailer has been released for ITV’s new epic, eight-part drama series Victoria, starring Doctor Who‘s former travelling companion, Jenna Coleman.

Created and written by novelist Daisy Goodwin, Victoria sees Jenna play the young Queen Victoria, from her accession to the throne at the tender age of 18 through to her courtship and marriage to Prince Albert, played by Tom Hughes.

The drama also stars Rufus Sewell, Alex Jennings, Paul Rhys, Peter Firth, Catherine Flemming, Eve Myles,Adrian Schiller, Nichola McAuliffe, Daniela Holtz, Nell Hudson, Tommy-Lawrence Knight, Nigel Lindsay and Alice Orr-Ewing.

Victoria will air on ITV later this year.
