Claire Rushbrook takes a tumble in new clip

ITV has released a first-look clip for the second series of wartime drama, Home Fires.

The series follows a group of inspirational women at the heart of a rural Cheshire community who steadfastly bring the village together through the Great Paxford Women’s Institute during our nation’s darkest hour.

The clip shows Pat Simms (Claire Rushbrook) knocked to the ground when she gets caught in the cross-hairs when some soldiers begin fighting.

Also reprising their roles in series two is, Samantha Bond, Francesca Annis, Ruth Gemmill, Frances Grey, Clare Calbraith, Fenella Woolgar, Leanne Best and Claire Price.

Home Fires series 2 will return to ITV in the coming months.
