Cult classic is coming to Channel 5

Channel 5 has confirmed they will be airing the new The X-Files six-part event series in the UK.

The Award-winning paranormal series from Chris Carter, sees the return of David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson as iconic FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, thirteen years after the original television series ended. The X-Files remains one of the longest-running sci-fi series in network television history.

Other returning characters include Mitch Pileggi and William B. Davis, playing Walter Skinner and The Smoking Man respectively.

The X-Files returns in the US on Fox with a two-night premiere on Sunday, 24th January and Monday 25th January 2016.  Channel 5 will air early in 2016.
